I've had this poem below on my wall in some fashion for over 17 years staring me right in the face. I've carried it early on throughout my business endeavors to find inspiration when it all seemed to be crashing down or going against me. As I worked from my home office today, it just stuck out today from the wall.
It has always served as a reminder that things will go wrong in every facet of your life. It will appear daunting in it's struggles but it calls for a greater vision than what we can see set before us. A fortitude unlike no other that you can't pick up at a store for easy access and is really beyond your powers!
The true test is faithfulness in your repeated actions to preserver through life's twists and turns.
Thought you may enjoy as well.
Make 2018 a great year!
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is strange with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure comes about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell just how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit—
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
