Don’t Quit

January 11, 2018 By Michael G. Stults Leave a Comment

I've had this poem below on my wall in some fashion for over 17 years staring me right in the face. I've carried it early on throughout my business endeavors to find inspiration when it all seemed to be crashing down or going against me. As I worked from my home office today, it just stuck out today from the wall.

It has always served as a reminder that things will go wrong in every facet of your life. It will appear daunting in it's struggles but it calls for a greater vision than what we can see set before us. A fortitude unlike no other that you can't pick up at a store for easy access and is really beyond your powers! [Read more…]

Always Finishing First

October 21, 2013 By Michael G. Stults Leave a Comment

Is finishing first always your mantra? If you think there is always an outside reward for doing so, life will sure tell you other wise. Sometimes those rewards are only self gratifying but other times you gain publicity for certain accomplishments. We all have participated in some type of sporting event or general event that classifies you as a winner, 2nd place, 3rd place and etc. My point in writing this article is to share a few things that I have learned about this statement. I feel people give up at times temporarily and need a pick up. I am no different than you. Sorry to break your heart. 🙂

Insert Brief Childhood Story Here

Finishing First Hard Work

Finishing First Hard Work

Growing up I was very timid and a shy individual. Today people would be astonished that was the case. My home life was a bit rattled with domestic violence and alcohol through what seemed every weekend. I am slightly embarrassed to now publicly say that was our childhood for a period of time. That in itself doesn't determine you as a person nor does that say your parents can not be changed progressing their life forward. Starting in 3rd or 4th grade my dad wanted me to start Boxing down at the community center. Unfortunately that was not in the plans due to some issue that night but we made our way over to a smaller group in the next building doing Kenpo Karate. For the next 4 years or so until my parents officially divorced and we moved, I cherished every Tuesday and Thursday evening.  [Read more…]

LifeSkills

August 25, 2013 By Michael G. Stults 2 Comments

We recently moved and as in normal fashion you tend to find those “hidden” boxes from your childhood or other things you meant to throw away years ago… Some of you may just throw everything out like that (childhood things) but for me, I keep a few items because it reminds me of who I am and who I was meant to be in some ways. As you get older those core principles stick with you and they are either magnified or exposed. Low and behold, I came across this “LifeSkills” document.

The LifeSkills Document

I had this document on my wall either late elementary or early middle school years. I don't exactly recall why I had this or why I kept it but I did have it hanging up in my room like a proud accomplishment. Elementary school years I was extremely shy and didn't say much of anything and continued to slowly break out of my shell as I continued to get older. It wasn't until after high school years that I realized that I had to “push” the envelope and develop into a different mindset.

Today, most people who know me on all levels would agree and certainly say that there was no way I was a very timid, shy kid growing up. Even my high school classmates would agree that there is a complete difference in my attitude of being more outgoing. One that recently stands out to me on the list is “SENSE OF HUMOR” because it was a recent conversation about an observation of me. Life is so serious; no one gets out alive. That's not to say everything is a joke because that is far from the truth. [Read more…]

December 20, 2012 By Michael G. Stults 6 Comments

Josh Bulloc is a Sales Engineer (one of those really smart people) by day and author/ blogger at the IntentionalSuperHero.com by night. Josh wrote a great ebook called “My Wife Won't Let Me Start A Business” but brings other dynamics to the table with his other passions and interests. I wanted to sit down with him for a few minutes to share the basis of his ebook and some of his other passions of helping people.

A little background on how I met Josh was we both had membership at a former gym about a year ago. I'm generally pretty friendly with people and when you see the same people everyday at the same time you tend to get to know who they are. He shared with me how he had developed this ebook and his interests in Affiliate Marketing along with other projects he is working on.

Sad Day – Newtown School Shootings

December 14, 2012 By Michael G. Stults Leave a Comment

This morning I heard of the tragedy that families in Newtown, CT suffered tremendous loss at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I purposely did not turn on the TV to tune in and I avoided reading anything online until late this afternoon. Just as many of us saw, the majority of people across our country and world are feeling the sorrow of such a senseless act of violence. You have a young man who for whatever his reasons decided to pull off this horrendous act.

View News Updates

The reason I avoided the information about today was just the thought of losing a child was something I did not want to think about. We have our own situation where two of our oldest boys will succumb to a rare neurological disease called Niemann-Pick Type C disease in the the nearest years to come.   Those families and children woke up today just like they do every day during the school/work week and not a thought in the world crossed their mind that today would be their last day here on earth. Extremely sad.

As death is unavoidable and the one thing we all have in common as we live on this earth, it represents again that we do not know if we will get tomorrow. I am consistently reminded of this. I struggle just like anyone with a moral / spiritual head on their shoulders trying to live up to my very best every day. Thankfully grace is bestowed upon us to get up and try again.

Today can easily be argued about being about guns but that really isn't the story. Those families lost loved ones and they need all the support from the surrounding communities along with your prayers. I am sickened to know that with every event of this nature that takes place, it is fueling the cowardliness of individuals to have courage that they can pull of future senseless acts of violence like this.

This truly saddened my heart today. I just wanted to share some quick thoughts. Hug your children and loved ones.

5 Strategies for Dealing with Workplace Stress

July 2, 2012 By Guest Blogger 2 Comments

This is a Guest Post by Ryan Rivera of www.CalmClinic.com

Stress is more than an emotion. Stress is a poison. Stress puts pressure on your organs that can cause irreparable harm or long term health consequences. Stress damages brain cells. Stress can lead to mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. It is one of the single worst things you can do for your body.

Yet more and more people allow themselves to be subjected to persistent stress, primarily because more and more people allow themselves to get stressed at the workplace. With the economy struggling and employers overworking their staff, it's easy to get overwhelmed at work without the option of finding a great new job elsewhere.

Although you may have a good reason for experiencing this stress, it's imperative that you find a way to cope. The stress you experience at work may seem minor or temporary, but over time it can lead to very serious health problems, missed work, and a dramatically reduced quality of life. [Read more…]

3 Most Important Areas of Your Life

May 14, 2012 By Michael G. Stults Leave a Comment

Doesn’t it seem that everyone has a specific view on what should be most important in your life? My title of “3 Most Important Areas of Your Life” really should have an additional “dot dot dot” because for me my faith should be the most important followed by family then work. I am human just like you. Ironic, don’t your think? Mike, Mike, Mike… but wait, you’re telling me the 3 most important things in life aren’t “Love, Sex, and Rock-n-roll”? I guess you could make a persuasive argument. JK

Over the weekend I attended the high school graduation for the seniors of Smithville High School. Jenn’s brother finally completed his 13 years of the public education system and will be off to boot camp before we know it. We are certainly proud that he accomplished this milestone that is the beginning of a new era of his legacy and name. [Read more…]
