Adversity Expected

Adversity Expected

Encountering adversity in life is to be expected. That should be the yellow warning sign that should be next to every birth certificate. We live in a deeply fallen world from all aspects. Now one could argue that isn't entirely true but we all know that there is evil all around us. Even bad things happen to good people; fair or not fair.

Have you ever noticed that we are always trying to find a way to circumvent difficulties in our life? Yes the adversity in our life is caused by our difficulties. Nothing has guaranteed us to have an easy life. Situations totally beyond your ability to handle the adversity will present you face to face in your life. Even in my life I have been down that road. Especially with two sons that are pretty much guaranteed a death sentence with their rare disease.

Revelation 19:1
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God;

Psalm 91:1
New American Standard Bible (NASB)

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

The awareness of your inadequacy is not something you should try to evade. Aren't we all good at procrastination?
